Young Dance Network (ASSITEJ): Burning pathways of past, present and future

The Young Dance Network (YDN), the international ASSITEJ network for dance for young audiences, invites you to join us in wrapping up the day together: Whether you’ve been working in the field of dance for young audiences for a long time or are simply curious—everyone is welcome! Together, we’d like to gather experiences, challenges, dreams, and visions for the future through a creative exchange and capture them on a large floor map. What connections, links, and unexpected paths can we discover there?

Young Dance Network (YDN) is one of the professional networks of ASSITEJ International. The international network connects artists, producers, presenters, educators, and other professionals working in contemporary dance for children and young people. Its mission is to strengthen the field by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge and best practices, advocating for the value of dance for young audiences, and creating opportunities for international exchange and professional development. Through events, working groups, and partnerships, YDN helps raise the visibility and recognition of dance for young audiences while supporting innovation and cross-border collaboration within the sector.

ACCESSIBILITY Junges Tanzhaus venue

The Junge Tanzhaus Berlin is located at Lucy-Lameck-Straße 32. In the middle of the building, several staircases lead to the main entrance. Alternatively, there is also access via the garden for special events. The building is barrier-free and accessible via two routes:

From the garden gate (behind the house)
Access via a ramp (incline approx. 5.4 %) to the foyer on the first floor
Distance from the garden gate to the entrance: approx. 12 meters
From the foyer, the path leads past the bar on the right to the elevator (approx. 35 meters)
The elevator:
-can be used unaccompanied and leads to the levels: Hall (2nd floor), workshop rooms (1st floor)
-can be used with an escort to the club (basement)
-Elevator dimensions: 1.07 m width x 2.09 m length x 2.09 m height

From the main entrance / parking lot
From the main entrance you can reach the elevator via level cobblestones (approx. 20 meters away)
If necessary, please use the bell at the main entrance - our staff will open the elevator door for you. Or call: 030 - 544 539 370

There is a accessible toilet on the 1st floor (dimensions: 2.10 m x 2.10 m), which can be reached via the elevator.
For visitors with limited mobility, a designated wheelchair-accessible parking space is available in front of the main entrance.
